What inspired to me about becoming an apprentice was the opportunity to learn a trade and become skilled and a lot more knowledgeable. Obviously it is also very appealing that you are actually earning money whilst studying too!
I give my full commitment and attention to my employer. For instance when the company is falling behind on production or there are high orders through the company I am always willing to put in extra hours work to ensure we keep on track.
My training provider (Stockport College) give me excellent support and advice with anything that I may need and are happy to answer any questions I may have.
My apprenticeship has changed my life because I now understand how HGV Trailers are designed and also how they are built from start to end. This is great because I cannot only comfortably design Trailers but I can also wire them, weld them and assembly the body in Coachbuilding.
My future plans are too carry on with my apprenticeship and continue to put in hard work and earn all my qualifications right up to HND level.
After this I want to really prove myself within my company and work my way right up the ladder.
