Chloe's case study
I wanted to do an apprenticeship because I thought if I wanted to work in business it would be the best route for me to go down. I am gaining a lot of experience and qualifications whilst doing it which will be really valuable as that is what most employers are looking for. For me, doing the apprenticeship route instead of University has made me aware of all the possibilities that are out there and now I know what I want to do as a career. Working in digital marketing is so much fun and not one day is the same; I think if I hadn’t chosen an Apprenticeship I wouldn’t have known I could do this as a career.
The training that I am having at Skills Solutions has benefited me hugely in the workplace. The new skills and knowledge that I am gaining in my training I am applying it in my job role which also helps my employer too as they are learning more about Social Media for business and how we can use it to our advantage in the workplace. I know that my job makes a difference to Churchgate Academy, helping to create its online and social media presence.
By doing an Apprenticeship I have gained more confidence, my knowledge of social media and digital marketing has grown and it has opened my eyes to what I can do as a career. I know that the qualifications I am gaining will benefit me in the future and will help me personally, and in the workplace too.
I am going to progress onto the Level 4 Higher Apprenticeship in Digital Marketing and also study a part-time Foundation degree in Business Management one evening a week. After my Foundation degree I want to complete the top-up for the final year so I will then have a full BA (Hons) degree in Business Management. It will be hard for me to do whilst I am working full-time but I know the end result will be totally worth it.
